Today I saw the continuing development of the flowering part of a Siberian Elm branch I have been observing over a period of months. All of the Siberian Elms are flowering on this pathway and these green petals are sprinkled along the path.

Can you see the outline of the seed inside the petals? Right now they are very soft to the touch.
